Take a Look Inside

Beta Star’s state of the art facility in Southeastern Pennsylvania is where every sterilizer we build is designed, engineered, and fabricated. Our raw plate to FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) approach to fabrication ensures that every step of the process of building your next sterilizer is completed under our team’s watchful care. The sterilization chamber and jacket, key components to efficient sterilization throughput and minimal utility consumption, are formed, welded, and fabricated in our facility.

Machining: The Differentiator

Our machining capabilities include a state of the art horizontal machining center, capable of machining or “cutting” the chamber gasket groove on any size chamber door that we manufacture. This includes all of our largest chamber sizes, which includes 72″ x 86″ and 64″ x 92″ autoclave chambers.

Why does this matter?

By welding the chamber and door plate together before machining, slight material warping that can occur during the welding process occurs before the gasket groove is cut into the door plate. This ensures that the gasket groove, critical to the longevity of expensive door gaskets, is cut exactly to our engineering team’s design. Inconsistencies in the gasket groove, measured at hundredths of an inch, can take months off of the life of the door gasket.

Autoclave Assembly and Testing Facility

Our autoclave assembly and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) area is dedicated to putting the finishing controls, plumbing, and electrical components onto the equipment. Many of our non-proprietary components are stored in-house to limit lead time for our customers when quick-turn production is required. The area has numerous connection points to complete Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) for batch testing of units for customers to witness the tests when desired.
